This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which MxU collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of MxU. This Privacy Policy applies to MxU and all Courses offered by MxU. Plain, readable overview: We do not have a business model that requires us to sell user information in any way. We collect and use personal information only as needed to perform the basic functions of our application as well as to measure the performance of the advertisement we sell online; if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users enroll in MxU or a Course within MxU, subscribe to a newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available in our application. Users may visit MxU anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can refuse to supply personal identification information but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain MxU related activities.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not designed for and are not marketed to people under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or ask for information from people under the age of 13 nor do we knowingly allow such audiences to use our Services. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use our Services or send us your information. We delete information that we learn is collected from a minor without verified parental consent.
Cookies
Third parties, including but not limited to Facebook, Mux, Stripe, HubSpot, and CloudFlare may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our website and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.

How we use collected information
MxU may collect and use Users' personal identification information for the following purposes:
- To improve customer service Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
- To personalize user experience We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided in our application.
- To send periodic emails We may use User email addresses to send Users information and updates pertaining to their order. User email addresses may also be used to respond to User inquiries, questions, or other requests.
Google and YouTube API Data
MxU uses YouTube API Services to let authorized team administrators connect YouTube channels for live-stream analytics and service dashboard features. MxU requests read-only Google OAuth access to YouTube channel data and YouTube Analytics data. MxU does not request or store your Google or YouTube password.
Information MxU accesses and stores
When you connect a YouTube channel, MxU may access, collect, and store:
- Google OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and token expiration information;
- The connected YouTube channel’s ID and name;
- Live broadcast and video IDs, titles, URLs, live status, and start times;
- Current concurrent viewer counts and time-stamped viewer-count snapshots; and
- YouTube Analytics metrics, including average and peak concurrent viewers.
MxU does not download or store copies of YouTube videos or other YouTube audiovisual content.
How MxU uses and processes this information
MxU uses and processes Google and YouTube API data only to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the YouTube features requested by the user. This includes maintaining the authorized connection, identifying the connected channel and its active broadcasts, displaying live status and viewer counts, associating streams with the team’s services, and generating and displaying live and historical service analytics.
MxU does not sell, rent, or license Google user data. MxU does not use Google or YouTube API data for advertising, ad measurement, retargeting, credit decisions, data brokerage, resale, or AI model training. Website advertising and cookie data are separate from Google or YouTube API data obtained through OAuth.
How MxU shares this information
MxU does not disclose Google or YouTube API data except in the following limited circumstances:
- Authorized MxU team members: The authorizing user and members of the same MxU team whose access is approved and controlled by that organization’s administrators may view channel, stream, and analytics information through MxU.
- MxU personnel and contractors: A limited number of MxU personnel and contractors may access the data when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or support the requested features. Such access is limited to personnel with a legitimate need and is subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers: MxU may use contracted service providers to host, store, secure, or process the data on MxU’s behalf. These providers may process the data only according to MxU’s instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal and safety requirements: MxU may disclose data when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, and safety of MxU, its users, or others.
MxU does not disclose Google or YouTube API data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for their independent use.
Security and Limited Use
MxU protects Google user data using TLS encryption in transit, encrypted OAuth tokens at rest, access controls, and limited internal access. MxU’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and deletion rights
You can disconnect a YouTube channel in MxU or revoke MxU’s access through Google Account permissions. You may request deletion of stored Google or YouTube API data by emailing support@getmxu.com. MxU will delete requested data as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days unless retention is legally required. Deleting data from MxU does not delete data stored by Google or YouTube.

Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent User personal identification information to others.
Third party websites
User may find advertising or other content in our application that link to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these websites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our application. In addition, these websites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our User, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
MxU has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications. If MxU materially changes how it accesses, uses, stores, shares, or deletes Google or YouTube API data, MxU will notify affected users and obtain any required consent before using that data in the new way.
Your acceptance of these terms
By enrolling in MxU, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enroll in MxU. Your continued enrollment in MxU following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
